1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Wink ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Wink. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account & Content
You are responsible for the content you post, including text, photos, videos, and messages. You retain your rights to your content, and you grant us a limited license to display and distribute it within the App so the service can function.
Pronouns and profile details are optional. Do not share information that could out or endanger you or anyone else without consent.
4. Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use
Wink is built on safety and mutual respect. You agree that you will not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or incite violence against anyone.
- Post hate speech or content that demeans people for who they are.
- Share explicit, illegal, or graphic content.
- Out, expose, or share private information about others without consent.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Spam, scam, or use the App to harm the community.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
5. User-Generated Content & Moderation
Wink contains user-generated content. We provide tools to report and block users and to mute conversations, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content promptly. By using the App, you agree there is no tolerance for objectionable content and that abusive users may be removed.
6. Messaging
Messaging is designed to be safe and consensual. You can only be messaged by people you follow or share a community with, message requests must be accepted first, and report, block, and mute are always available. Do not use messaging to harass or solicit others.
7. Rights Hub — Information, Not Advice
The Rights Hub provides general, plain-language information about topics such as workplace, education, healthcare, housing, and privacy. It is provided for general awareness only and is not legal, medical, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for your specific situation.
8. Your Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Your private incident log is stored on your device and is never posted or sent to authorities by us.
9. Device Permissions
Wink may request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, notifications, and (for measurement) tracking. These are used only for the related features — taking or attaching media, dictating posts, and delivering notifications. All permissions are optional and can be revoked in Settings.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, interface, branding, and design, is owned by Wink or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the App on your device.
11. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wink and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App for conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe harms the community or others. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@winkpride.app.
